John grew up in a real estate family, both his grandfather and father had successful careers in commercial real estate business. He spent his summers coming to the Outer Banks to visit his grandparents in Duck. He quickly fell in love with the area and all it has to offer. After a few years selling commercial real estate in Virginia, John relocated to the Outer Banks in 2014. John and Katie have bought and sold many investment properties of their own on the Outer Banks. They have self managed their investments on platforms such as Airbnb and VRBO.
